Overview

Accountancy Business and the Public Interest  abbrev., (ABPI) is an interdisciplinary research journal publishing impacts of accounting, auditing and accountability issues on public policy, practices and society. The journal was started in the year 2001 to encourage scholars to publish and share their research findings. Initially only one issue was published per year in print media. Due to delay in researchers accessing the research data on time, the committee of editors decided to publish more frequently and opted to go online in 2018.

By year 2023,  ABPI adoped the CAP (Continuous Article Publication) model. ABPI publishes 12 issues per year. Special Issues are published on need basis.

Aims and Scope

Accountancy Business and the Public Interest  is an excellent journal that address significant research questions from broad range of perspectives.

This Journal:

-contributes significantly to research in accounting, finance, business information and its related discipline

-publishes theoretical, empirical and experimental that significantly contributes to the field of accounting and finance

-encourages publication using  wide range of research methods like statistical analysis, analytical work, case studies, qualitative research, field research and historical analysis

-applies economic, organizational and other theories to accounting and finance phenomena and publishes occasional special issues on themes such as on research methods in management accounting.
